Heritage Walk (For 3rd Semester ECE Students)
The main objective of the heritage walk to Chitradurga was to provide 3rd semester ECE students with practical exposure to India’s historical and cultural heritage, and to help them understand ancient engineering practices related to architecture, fortification, and water management.
The heritage walk to Chitradurga was an educational visit that helped 3rd semester ECE students understand the historical and cultural importance of Karnataka’s heritage. The walk mainly covered the Chitradurga Fort, highlighting its ancient architecture, defensive design, temples, and historical significance. Students learned about the evolution of engineering techniques used in fort construction, water management, and security systems of earlier times. The visit also created awareness about heritage conservation and encouraged students to relate historical engineering practices with modern technology. Overall, the heritage walk was an informative and enriching learning experience beyond the classroom.
By the end of the heritage walk, students gained better awareness of heritage conservation, improved observation and teamwork skills, and an appreciation of traditional engineering methods. The visit successfully connected historical knowledge with modern engineering concepts, making learning more interactive and meaningful.
