Heritage Walk (For 3rd Semester ECE Students)

The main objective of the heritage walk to Chitradurga was to provide 3rd semester ECE students with practical exposure to India’s historical and cultural heritage, and to help them understand ancient engineering practices related to architecture, fortification, and water management.
The heritage walk to Chitradurga was an educational visit that helped 3rd semester ECE students understand the historical and cultural importance of Karnataka’s heritage. The walk mainly covered the Chitradurga Fort, highlighting its ancient architecture, defensive design, temples, and historical significance. Students learned about the evolution of engineering techniques used in fort construction, water management, and security systems of earlier times. The visit also created awareness about heritage conservation and encouraged students to relate historical engineering practices with modern technology. Overall, the heritage walk was an informative and enriching learning experience beyond the classroom.

By the end of the heritage walk, students gained better awareness of heritage conservation, improved observation and teamwork skills, and an appreciation of traditional engineering methods. The visit successfully connected historical knowledge with modern engineering concepts, making learning more interactive and meaningful.

The objective of the farming and plantation visit was to create awareness among students about organic farming practices, plantation techniques, soil management, and sustainable agriculture. The visit aimed to provide hands-on exposure to real-world farming methods and to encourage environmental responsibility among students.

The farming and plantation visit was conducted at an organic farm in Ramasagar, Karnataka. During the visit, students observed various plantation activities and organic farming practices. The farmer demonstrated plant growth stages, root systems, soil conditions, and eco-friendly cultivation methods. Students actively participated in plantation work and learned about the importance of natural fertilizers, water conservation, and sustainable agricultural techniques. The visit provided practical knowledge and enhanced learning beyond classroom instruction.

After the visit, students gained practical understanding of farming and plantation methods. They developed awareness about environmental conservation, sustainable agriculture, and teamwork. The activity encouraged students to respect nature and understand the importance of plantation in maintaining ecological balance. Overall, the visit helped students connect theoretical knowledge with real-life agricultural practices.

 

 

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering , Proudha Devaraya Institute of Technology, Hosapete, organized a Four-days workshop on “Robotics and Automation”  from 25th to 28th  November 2025. The event was conducted in academic collaboration with Vithsutra Technologies Private Limited. The workshop was designed to provide conceptual and practical exposure to robotic systems, automation techniques, and low-cost collaborative robots. The sessions were attended by 3rd,5th and 7th semester students of  ECE Department.

Introduction

Dussehra, one of the most significant festivals in India, symbolizes the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated with great fervour and cultural richness across the country. The ECE department of our college embraced this spirit by organizing a special celebration involving both faculty members and students on 30th September 2025. The event was designed to foster unity, cultural awareness, and joyful participation among all members of the department and to promote cultural heritage and traditional values among students and staff.

Pick and Speak Activity

The Pick and Speak activity was organized on 17th September 2025 in the classroom for 7th and 5th sem.

The primary objective of the activity was to enhance students’ communication skills, improve their ability to think spontaneously, and build confidence in public speaking. Such activities aim to prepare students for professional interactions, interviews, and presentations in their academic and career journey.
