VIDYACHETANA: A Treasure Trove of Information

VIDYACHETANA, the 'Learning Resource Center' is the proud central library of the Proudhadevarya Institute of Technology, Hosapete. The Library caters to the educational and research needs of the academic community, since 1997. A well stacked, aesthetically spaced, fully automated and open access central library is located in the first floor of main block, occupies over 1023.67 sqm. of area with the sitting capacity for more than 250 students at a time. It is pride taking thing to note that it has won accolades for its infrastructure, teaching learning resources and steady progress and made it as model library in the Hyderabad Karnataka Region. Within a short span of time this small library has grown up to a smart one, with over 53,265 volumes of books, 75+ subscribed national and international journals in addition to numerous E-resources like online journals and e- books provided by VTU Consortium, and many educational video courses & cassettes and CD-ROMS etc,. Catering quality services to more than 1500 under graduate students, research scholars and their teaching band of reputed faculty.

The Vidyachetana is automated with integrated library software package KOHA. This technology offers fastest, easiest, most efficient way to track, locate and manage library materials.
